A Legacy of Innovation, Relationships, and Practical Technology
About Imminent Technologies, the creators and stewards of Imaging Made Simple (IMS). For more than three decades, our focus has stayed consistent: understand the customer's needs, develop practical solutions, and build relationships that last.
Our Founding Principle
“Our only limitation is your imagination.”
Our Story
The story of Imaging Made Simple (IMS) began in 1994 with Azara Corporation, a technology business that later became Imminent Technologies, Inc. in February 1999.
With roots in Waco, Texas, Imminent Technologies developed document imaging, database, and information management solutions to help organizations organize, access, and manage their information more effectively.
An important part of that history is Parsons Office Systems, a longstanding family business whose leadership and resources helped support the development and growth of IMS.
Over the decades, IMS has served organizations ranging from small businesses and school districts to hospitals, government departments, and military installations.
Our philosophy remains straightforward: understand the customer's needs, develop practical solutions, and build relationships that last.

The People Behind IMS
The history of Imaging Made Simple is inseparable from the people who helped build it.
Ray Parsons and Bob Watley played important leadership roles in Parsons Office Systems and Imminent Technologies, helping develop the business and bring IMS to customers across the country.
Chad Cohrs has been involved with Imminent Technologies for more than two decades, contributing to business operations, customer relationships, product planning, and the continued direction of Imaging Made Simple.
Over time, Ray and Bob entrusted Chad with increasing responsibility for the business, eventually leading to his acquisition and continued leadership of Imminent Technologies and IMS.
More Than a Business Partnership
Chad remains deeply grateful to the Parsons family for welcoming him into their business and treating him as part of their family. Those relationships continue today.
Imaging Made Simple has benefited from the knowledge, dedication, and contributions of talented individuals throughout its history. From software development and technical support to customer service and business operations, their collective efforts have helped shape a practical document management solution focused on helping organizations work more efficiently.
Although Ray and Bob have since passed away, their contributions and the relationships they helped establish remain an important part of the company’s legacy.
Experience Behind the Software
IMS continues to benefit from many years of business and software-development experience.
Chad has helped guide Imminent Technologies for more than 20 years, while Galen, our longtime lead programmer, has contributed to IMS development for approximately a decade.
Alongside the contributions of other programmers, sales professionals, and technology partners, this experience helps guide the ongoing development and support of Imaging Made Simple.
Our focus is not simply on software features, but on understanding how organizations work and helping them manage information more effectively.

Proven in Demanding Environments
Imaging Made Simple has a long history of supporting organizations with substantial document management requirements.
U.S. Army Logistics at Fort Hood, Texas
One of the most significant examples is the U.S. Army’s logistics operations at Fort Hood, Texas. The enormous volume of documentation associated with people, materials, and daily operations created a demanding information-management environment. Imaging Made Simple helped organize and manage that documentation for nearly three decades.
Managing critical records for high-volume logistics, vehicles, and readiness operations.
Educational Institutions
Student cumulative records, special education documentation, board policies, and personnel files with structured multi-field retrieval.
Healthcare Organizations
Medical records, administrative files, and patient accounts requiring strict confidentiality, granular permissions, and responsive retrieval.
Local Government & Business
Municipal clerk records, accounting vouchers, human resources, contracts, and vendor files managed with business-tailored indexing.
An Enduring Principle: Effective document management requires more than scanning paper. Organizations need practical ways to organize, search, retrieve, manage, and share their information.
Recognition and Innovation
The history of IMS includes recognition associated with document imaging solutions used in U.S. Army logistics operations, as well as pioneering integration work.
Government Technology Leadership Award
Recognized for the Document Imaging System implemented for the Directorate of Logistics, III Corps & Fort Hood, Texas. Conferred by a distinguished panel of judges from across federal agencies.

E-Gov Pioneer Award
Recognized for government document-imaging applications and implementations supporting mission readiness, logistics accountability, and electronic record coordination.

Historical award certificates honor government document-imaging applications and implementations; the certificates identify the government organization as the recipient.
Xerox ConnectKey & EZ-Scan Solutions History
Imminent Technologies developed specialized kiosk-style applications using Xerox ConnectKey technology for compatible Xerox multifunction devices.
Through the EZ-Scan Solutions initiative, applications were developed for document capture and business processes, including school registration (EZ-REG), human resources, contract management, and direct scanning into IMS.
These applications packaged scanned images and metadata for seamless handoff to document management and other business systems—an early example of our deep software-development and workflow-integration experience.

Relationships That Last
Technology changes, but the importance of dependable relationships remains.
Trigg County Public Schools, Kentucky
In a June 30, 2005 letter, Beth Sumner, then Assistant Superintendent of Personnel and Operations, described the district’s implementation of IMS for student records, special education documentation, and personnel information.
The district’s experience reflects the practical value IMS has delivered in educational environments: replacing wall-to-wall filing cabinets with organized, searchable records that authorized staff can access in seconds, while preserving confidentiality.
Historical letter dated June 30, 2005 detailing student cumulative files, special education, and personnel records organization.
Original documentation preserved in company archives. We value relationships that extend beyond the initial sale, with an emphasis on practical solutions, responsive service, and continued improvement.
More than two decades ago, I became part of something that would grow to mean far more to me than a business or a career.
Ray Parsons, Bob Watley, and the Parsons family welcomed me into their organization, placed their trust in me, and eventually entrusted me with the extraordinary privilege and responsibility of continuing what they had built.
I’ve never taken that trust lightly.
To me, Imaging Made Simple and Imminent Technologies represent more than software. They represent decades of hard work, innovation, personal relationships, and a family legacy that I have been honored to carry forward.
My commitment is to preserve what made this company special while continuing to improve our technology, serve our customers, and build something worthy of the trust they placed in me.
It is both an honor and a responsibility I intend to carry with me for the rest of my life.
— Chad Cohrs
